instagrams of a good weekend

the little things in life make it more memorable and more fun. sometimes i realize i take too many pictures of things that don't matter, but then i also realize that it makes me happy, and it makes me appreciative of the big and little things in life.

so here, en foto, are a few of the very many things that can make a day or a weekend wonderful.

^ the light is spilling out of the clouds...

^ tgif date at the mill

^ on a quest for cinnamon rolls. i think walking five miles justifies a cinnamon roll.

 ^ love holmes lake.

^ saturday morning goodness... homemade coffee cake + freshly ground coffee. hallelujah.

^ italian soda after another long walk (we decided to go sans auto for most of the weekend).

^ paint yourself silly... i found this little monster last year and finally came back to paint him! i love him!! i don't know why he makes me so happy. but he does.

^ he's a trooper... "paint yourself silly" isn't a very manly place. but he never complained :)

^ he EVEN smiled :)
^ all ready to be fired... i can't wait to pick him up!

 ^ dan's work of art.

 ^ cup & saucer.

^ post-church sunset... i love church on saturday nights.

^ sunday morning coffee... i am obsessed with (a) coffee (b) mugs (c) fancifying my coffee. it's really a brilliant combination of loves.
thanks, melodia, for my israeli max brenner mug! (and evangel for my alpha chi mug.)

^ dan put marshmallows in his coffee... mm. tasty.

^ feeling artsy. and finally using the canvas i bought months ago :)

^ reading this book. lots of interesting things in it... so far i quite recommend it. challenging, in a very good way... full of truth. refreshing.

^ happy hour slushes + corn dogs. winning. (maybe not health-wise, but let's not worry about that...)

^ shady.

 ^ fishy.

 ^ little fella.

 ^ i think he's had better days.

 ^ still in progress...

^ i just can't wait to see how he turns out! i think he shall be filled with dove chocolates. and named something silly. like fernando.

that's all for now, folks!
